The debut album of Aaliyah Age Ain't Nothin but a Number came out in 1994. At the age of 15 years old, the album earned Gold status. The group's collaboration heavily influential to R. Kelly's musical style, made her a star. In 1996, Jermaine and Timbaland released Aaliyah's second album One In A Million. The album contained the single If Your Girls Only Knew, the single that was most popular. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B vocalist after the release. Aaliyah was a part of the legendary martial artist Jet-Li in Romeo Must Die (2000), an action and romance film. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the film Romeo Must Die, spotted her at an awards ceremony. In 2002, she was in the vampire movie Queen of the Damned based on the Anne Rice book. The Matrix Sequels was her first role in The Matrix Sequels. She had also appeared in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2007). She is from Indian descent and was born in Connecticut. Mann, her stage name is an abbreviation for Mankad her surname when she married. Aarti is a combination of Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as professional names. She began her acting career in minor film and TV parts, however her fame increased in the mid 2000s. Some of her other notable work include Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. In addition, she has appeared in important commercials of brands such as Volvo which is an international automobile maker. She currently lives at Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting career.
